Old Crow

The black crow, a stunning bird
A closer look witness colorful inserts
A loyal bird with only one lifetime partner
Play hard, but work harder
Constant construction of the nest
Collecting grub while chicks rest
Spending a lifetime in one residence
I wonder if they have different accents
Meeting the rest of the community
Making sky patterns, cackling in unity
Intelligent species, that's how they thrive
Craftiness helps keep them alive
If a crow dies they gather from all around
A large scale funeral with a massive crowd
I give the old crow massive respect
But my chimney stacks a right mess

Strength of a Woman

Nature showed us many times
Strength generates in females
From your Mother's pride
To praying mantis eating males

Without a womans touch
The world would not turn
Underestimated so much
Voices should be heard

Beside every powerful male
Stands a strong female
Some faces covered in veil
Standing proudly and hailed

A gentle soft touch
A warming cuddle
Needs as such
Comes without struggle

Stand up and unite
Get yourselve's noticed
Don't give up the fight
Strength is not a novice

Makaveli

In loving memory of a legend deeply missed
Taken 2 soon which gets me pi##ed
The best musician in lifes childhood
Highly misunderstood by ignorant do goods
Wrongly accused of so many crimes
Punished for speakin up so many times
The envy of so many wannabes
My inspiration to write with ease
I grew up with your music and screen shows
Feels like I knew you well although
We never met it frustrates me so
That I cannot tell you your my hero
I honestly think biggee was a true friend
And he had nothing 2 do with your first assassination atempt
But puffy on the other hand is sly
And I think he'd do anythin 2 get by
So many rumours that you didn't die
But I know different and I'll explain why
On that fateful september night in vegas
You seen your shooter as he passed
And you wouldn't go and hide away my friend
You'd write a song explaining revenge
No-one could silence the legend of 2pac
The only way in life is 2 hit back
Suge was the problem in the wars
A selfish manipulator lower than the floor
Should have left with dre when you had the chance
You could still be here making everyone dance
I think the rivalry was between suge and puff
You and biggee was dragged into that fuss
It was puffy that instigated that vegas night
The target suge was in the sights
You should have stayed with iron mike
That was the chance 2 put everything right
Biggee should have laid low for a while
Or until suge was put in jail
Coz when he set foot on westside soil
Suge's revenge plan uncoiled
A small handful of artist started an epic genre called rap
Most influential is the 1 and only 2pac
We miss you makaveli the don
In your music you live on

Snakes and Ladders

Snakes And Ladders

It’s raining out what shall we do?
Let’s play a game just me and you,
Turn off the tele I’ve found a game or two
AAH snakes and ladders that will do,
This is a game we haven’t played in a while
Last time I played I was only a child,
The boards setup which colour do you want to be?
You can go red, I want to be green,
Start at the bottom on number one
We’re gonna have a good half hour of fun,
This isn't a game you can play fast
You can go first I’ll go last,
Here’s the dice throw double to start
To get a double is really hard,
First throw you got double three
I knew you’d start before me,
My first throw aint as lucky as you
I only threw a three and a two,
Oi no cheating you got to play fair
You got to go down the snakes and up the stairs,
Finally got a double on my tenth go
And you’re already on number forty four,
Can’t believe it another snake head
Why can’t I land on a ladder instead?
This aint right I only went for a pee
And you’ve jumped to number seventy,
I’ve thrown another double do I get an extra go?
What’s the rules I don’t really know?
You’re on ninety seven you only need three more
Unlucky you scored a four,
I’m up the ladder right behind you
My turn to throw.....yes four and two,
Ladies and gentlemen we have a winner
I am a Pro not a beginner..........

To save the coward
The coward will survive

Saturday

Sit around and do nothing all day
Alternatively watch the rugby played
Take the wife shopping and pay
Up to the chippy no cooking today
Ring the lads for a pint, wey hey
Drink, drink all your troubles away
Abuse the dart team in their game
Yep thats the way to spend a Saturday

What An Awful Day

Got up this morning
Too busy yawning
To see the pee pot
Spilled the whole lot
With a short kick
Not a recommended trick
Bathroom door was locked
Stood in my pee soaked socks
Flatulence turns to lumps
Underwear full of bumps

Toaster mysteriously jammed
Smoke filled the open plan
Amidst all the chaos
My grip was lost
The bottle smashed
The milk splashed
And the kettle was dry
Almost causing another fire

The car would not start
Despite prayers from the heart
Trying to push the automobile
No movement from the wheels
Battery was flat
Tyres were flat
And I'm late for work
My boss will go beserk

Got to work in empty factory
Seeing no-one made me worry
Observed my paper front page
Date explained it's Saturday
Walking home abusing myself
Mutters heard by noone else
Slipped on a muddy bank
Falling to a sudden land
Covered in dog poop
My embarrassed head droop

Workmen outside my home
Remind me waters no more
A burst pipe was the cause
Nearly answering I paused
Dropped my ashamed head
And went back to bed
I'll sleep the rest of the day
So no more unlucky pain

Junior Mafia

Life these days is hard for any man
But not uncle Vinny, you see he’s in this gang,
He’s living a real good life
Got more money than the President and his wife,
With his fancy suits and his flash car
The whole neighbourhood treats him like a star,
Vinny and my ma is all the family I got
I lost my pa the poor man got shot,
Had a fight in school and would you believe I lost
Vinny told me it’s time you met my boss,
Clean yourself up and get in the car
Then he took me to Tony’s bar,
Now Tony’s the boss, De Capo, top man
Vinny said he’d help you if he can,
We went into the backroom with ten large men
I was questioned for an hour or so then....
‘Boy’ Tony said “you’re working for me now and never again will you be touched”
I kissed his hand thank you Tony, thank you very much,
They had me serving drinks a cleaning the bar
Going on runs and even parking their cars,
This life for me is good, real grand
Starting to feel like a grown man,
They treated me like family, like a best friend
They was paying me more money than I could ever spend,
Out and about working on one of my runs
Got arrested by a cop with a gun,
Worried to death what Vinny would say
Not to mention Tony I’ve lost his pay,
They let me off with a small fine
‘Cos I’m to young to do hard time,
Everyone outside cheered so loud
Vinny kissed me and told me he was proud,
I looked at him funny and said why’s that?
‘Cos you stayed quiet and didn’t rat,
Got in trouble for not going to school
Haven’t got time for that I got better things to do,
Tony had me doing better jobs
Like burning out properties and going on the rob,
The money was coming in hard and fast
Tell the truth I never seen so much cash,
Working my way up through the ranks
My biggest job yet was robbing the bank,
Word gets round out on the street
Getting more respect off everyone I meet,
Vinny got pinched when a job went wrong
He’s doing hard time now, his good life is gone,
Ma’s getting worried ‘cos Vinny got pinched
She’s thinking I’m gonna end up the same way as him,
Don’t think about it Ma I know it’s hard
Vinny got pinched ‘cos he dropped his guard,
Then came the day Tony called me out the back
‘Boy’ he said ‘it’s time you did your first whack,
People get whacked all the time in this game
You never see it coming and no one’s to blame,
Tony told me where and who to whack
But they was waiting for me with a counter attack,
I’ve lived a life so short and fast
People in this game never last.

Who Done It

On a clear crisp morning
All was quiet and still
Suddenly without warning
A scream that will make you ill
The house lit up like Blackpool
And all around was concerned
People running like crazy fools
To where screams were heard

It was the master of the house
As dead as a winters leaf
Everyone started to crowd
All was in disbelief
A knife pushed into his back
But who wanted him deceased?
What was the motive of the attack?
With whom did he disagree?

Was it his unfaithful wife?
Or the butler that she loved?
The maid had access to knives
And his son was wearing gloves
A very stern person was he
Constantly ranting and growl
Could have been anybody
Who knows that angry frown

One window was broke inside
So someone without a key
The gardner was out of sight
So could it be he?
"Call the police" was a cry aloud
"Let them work it out instead"
Who is it? they have to be found
Before we find another dead

A hollow bang echoed aloud
The grim looking butler answered
"The police are here" was the shout
"Hello hello hello what have I heard?"
"He's dead" the wife cried
Taking out his magnifying glass
He drew his chalk line
Reassuring them we'll solve this fast

He examined all occupants
While scratching his head
The wife and main servant
Were together in bed
The gardener was on holiday
Traveling over the moor
The maid was getting changed
With the son peeping through the door

Taking a closer look he realised
It was his own hunting knife
His boots weren't properly tied
He fell and took his own life
A case of accidental suicide
What about the broken window?
I hear you simply ask
It happened during the fall
His hand was full of glass

With that he packed his tools
"My job here is complete"
Mistaking them all as fools
Because it's hard to believe
As ths police arrived very quick
Also He was alone
His methods were too slick
Covering tracks of his own

I'll let you decide if you think
he's the guilty one in the home

Ebay

A tribute to my cyber hero
Your service is never slow
Anything I need big or small
You provide with no fault
Selling my book you're not much help
I've still some left on the shelf
But dark times you got me through
Some Darker than a miner's boot
When my health was at a decline
You delivered to me in no time
Pandemic isolated me from the world
But you gave me the ideas to spread my word
Thank you for keeping me sane
So I can deal with you again and again
