Niladri Sekhar Pal Poem
Success can be achieved, if we do hard work.
Failures sometime lurk.
But we should not feel grieved,
If we do hard work, success can be achieved.
To win the race, we lay onto the track,
In between many necessary things we may lack.
Several barriers might arise which are hard to face,
We lay onto the track, to win the race.
When good days arrive, bad memories disappear,
We should face the challenges without fear,
And keep on trying to thrive,
Bad memories disappear, when good days arrive.

Niladri Sekhar Pal Poem
Starting from Chota Nagpur plateau,draining into Hooghly;
Its our Damodar river, 'rope around the belly'.
Another name of Lord Krishna,
Rich in mineral resources,abundant in coal,iron and steel,mica.
It is a river in North-eastern India,rising with many tributaries;
Flows generally eastward course for 592 kms.
Passes through Hazaribagh,Bokaro,Asansol,Raniganj,Durgapur,Bardhaman;
Is the 'Ruhr of India' , led to the development of large-scale mining and industrial activities.
During Monsoon,huge volumes of water flows down the Damodar,
Overflow its banks and flood large areas.
It was known as 'Sorrow of Bengal' ;
Because of its ravaging floods in the plains of West Bengal.
The floods were virtually an annual ritual since 1700 to 1943;
Some of them are recorded horribly in Bengal's history.
Several dams have been constructed in the valley,
For the generation of hydroelectric power, which gained much priority.
It is the first multipurpose river valley project of independent India;
Modeled on the Tennessee Valley Authority of United States of America.
Damodar Valley Corporation to develop flood control,irrigation,generation,and distribution;
Of electricity, eco-conservation and afforestation.
Dams built on Damodar are Tilaiya,Konar,Maithon and Panchet.
Durgapur barrage to feed extensive system of canals and distributaries.
Tenughat Dam is also a dam in the state of Jharkhand;
It is a tributary of Hooghly,a distributary of River Ganga.

Niladri Sekhar Pal Poem
When an athlete sets for a race,
He is determined to finish the contest.
He may win or he may lag,
But lays himself onto the track.
Life is nothing but a race,
Where we are our own adversaries.
We may fail and we may blunder,
But to carry the day we must encounter.
As practice lays an athlete to be on the track,
Our childhood nurtures play the same role.
And when he sets for the race,
It's our teenage to follow the right stage.
When the race begins,
It's actually our career begins.
And while it concludes,
We overcome all hurdles and seclude.

Niladri Sekhar Pal Poem
Once Earth was full of wild brutes,
Hunting animals subsisted their livelihoods.
Slowly, steadily they learnt upliftment,
What we accepted later as civilisation.
Today in this modernised world,
We follow new-fashioned approaches and genres.
Maybe we are greedy and gluttonous,
But we are affable and amiable creatures.
We live in society which is full of prosperity,
Where educated and education leads us all.
But day-by-day in this rejuvenated world,
Society demoralising at a whole.
Everyone is busy today, at their own work,
Youngsters are concerned enough about their own careers.
But there is a bunch of people in every society,
Who are always ready to criticise one's variety.
We should not fight with those evils,
Neither we embroil ourselves into ills.
We are confident enough to judge our own,
And to scorn the Judgemental Society.

Niladri Sekhar Pal Poem
Fret for humanity is not at all new-
Hope for mankind is not at all less.
Everybody expect others to be lenient;
But proves himself an unsociable.
Humans for humans;
Proves indeed in need.
Where gone all those philosophies;
Mentioned in myths.
Man is an optimist,
Brave as well as Pragmatic.
How can we forget those heroes;
Freedom fighters who lost their lives.
Become kind-hearted enough,
Remain servant of God.
Till grave serve for mankind;
Afterlife it means a lot.

Niladri Sekhar Pal Poem
BLIZZARDS PERSISTENT FOR SEVERAL DAYS , HOSTILITIES BEGUN BY CONSTANT CEASEFIRES .
ENEMIES STRIVING HARD TO OCCUPY NO - MAN’S - LAND ,
IS OF GREAT ADVANTAGE TO ANNEX AND BE WORTH.
HUGE CORPS DEPLOYED , AIR – BASES SET UP , ANY MOMENT WAR MAY DECLARE .
COLONEL ORDERED TO INFORM RELATIVES , ON A SPECIAL TRAINING , MOBILES NOT ALLOWED .
SIX PERSONNEL MARTYRED – INCLUDING A MAJOR.
RHANDRA , A WEEK LATER , MARRIAGE WAS FIXED , TWELVE YEARS OF INSEPARABLENESS , DEVIATED BY A BULLET .
THE ONLY BREAD WINNER OF FOUR SISTERS AND OLD PARALYSED MOTHER , NO MORE WITH US .
BODY DROWNED BY SNOWY LAYERS , FUTILE TO UNEARTH .
I OPENED THE CRATE , SAW THE BARBIE DOLL , MY DAUGHTER ASSERTED FOR ,
A VALIANT MILITARY BRAT , SELDOM WE CAN FIND .
PROUD OF HER FATHER , BRASH AND MIGHTY ,
WOULD NOT SHADE TEARS IF I DIE ON DUTY .
MY WIFE WILL CRY , BUT NOT TO WORRY ,
I HAVE A SCION , AS BOLD AS COURAGEOUS ,
IN MY ABSENCE WILL BRING HOME THE BACON .
WITH INJURY IN LEG TODAY I MAY REPLETE , BUT WITHOUT DEFEATING THE ENEMIES WE CANNOT SUCCEED .
I AM A SOLDIER – AT – ARMS , BORN TO PROTECT MOTHERLAND ,
TODAY I AM BREATHING , TOMORROW MAY NOT SUBSIST.

Niladri Sekhar Pal Poem
I evoke the moaning Stars,
Bad memories reviving behind my bars.
I recur not having a care ;
Imagining we were soulmates.
I relive being so elated,
To bring it to the top.
I remember where it all started ;
And where my meekness stopped.
I recall the closing door -
The way he fiercely corked.
I remember being so afraid ;
The way he wildly looked.
I try to forget the menace,
But I was forcibly stuck.
And I recall the obscession that occurred
The moment he tried to wave.
I effort to neglect the disgrace and woe!
Curtaining for the bright.
But I remember from that day;
Life was never the right.
I remember meagre more,
As the years passed.
And I am still trying to escape;
From the massacre of his lust.
I remember my family didn't know,
And I am not competent to share of.
But I am afraid to go out;
As the neighbours are ready to harass of.
