Well Done, Dorothea

There she stood, in a room all spic and span
Her name was Dorothea – the nun of Maryland
Ever so lightly, she picked flowers day and night
Oh! She was indeed the gift of God that did all her tasks
Did she happen to disobey her superiors and anger the ones above?
Obedient, classy and wise – the gift of God did as she was told.
Rummaging through antiques, she have found the key
Another key that held lies instead of answers, unfortunately.

Red

Running through vast valleys, I looked above and have caught the sun
Everlasting joy and rain, Red days are coming – Oh! What fun!
Dull is the day without you in it, so are the red spirits.

Butterflies

Beneath the gray skies, lied a magical fortress
Under the galaxy, fluttering species roamed around here and there
Tedious work was given to the wicked witch’s elves
They all shouted “All Hail the Wicked Queen!”
Evergreen were there internal glare
Running on mound less lands were unicorns of light
Fighting off ogres and dragons were a prince’s and knight’s job
Looping through bubbles were delicate babies that cooed their first words
International games were held every month
Evening gowns were of hues of rainbow
Stunning they were yet were awfully full of might

Paradise

A sound of a horn blowing into miles
Rising sun on the father east side
Introductory speech that is given by His Highness Himself
Safe and sound – No intruders allowed
Equality for all
Peace and Security finally restored
Aid to the homeless, sick and crippled
Death no more

December Heartaches

Everlasting…you and I were both from two different worlds
Meeting you was my biggest regret yet
Involving you in my life was another
True to your words you left without a single word

Evening came and so did storm and rain
Hard to let go – I called your name out three times
Terrific! I just lost the love of my life

Looking through past memories, I saw you sitting there
Lamenting sorrowful scenes
A call from you was all I need

Rumor has it that you went to abroad. Far away. In search for space.
Every day was torment
Beautiful memories sprung from here to there
Managing well was far from reality
Enough to blow a whole house down
Creating walls around me
Even family members couldn’t get in
Doom awaited me and so, I came late

Out to college, I’ve always had my fantasies about men
True enough that I was lying, I gave up space.

Knowledge of you coming back had me back up my feet.
Caring for you was all I realized
About to give in
But then reality settled in

Diet Sweetness

Years of Willy Wonka gone,
Dear Heavens! What has my factory become?
Nearing is its 150th anniversary
An act of kindness of heroicness – I call for help!
Cheat day is the best for I get to eat whatever I want
Tedious work. What on earth will I do without food?
Ending the day with an invention so great
Inventing the first ever diet candy!
Diet sweetness – the candy that shall put you into shape
