The Mermaid and the Unicorn

Come with me to a fantasy land
To a place where magic was born
Where dreams of love can materialize,
With the touch of a unicorns horn

My story is about Alicia
A mermaid who loved to pretend
That one day she’d walk the earth
With the aid of her unicorn friend

While swimming one day in the shallows
She asked if he’d give her a gift
Will you please make me a woman
And give my heart a lift

Just touch my horn the unicorn said
Then make a wish from your heart
Magic will swirl and fill the air
Then your fins will surely depart

But there’s one thing that you need to know
Before you get what you yearn
You need to find the man of your dreams
And your love he needs to return

So come on Alicia the unicorn said
Together we will search this land
I know we will find him somewhere
He will love you despite your brand

So they searched the land for Alicia’s love
And as they did they became closer together
At night they talked, laughing out loud
As they fended off the weather

Alicia would climb on the unicorns back
As across the land they’d ride
Trying to find the love of her dreams
Where ever he resides

One day Alicia shouted
we can’t do this anymore
The man of my dreams won’t be found
So take me back to the shore

For Alicia knew she had fallen
She’d fallen head over heals
Her heart was saddened and broken
How could this love be real

But what Alicia didn’t know
Was that the unicorn had fallen too
The air around them began to swirl
As he whispered I love you

The unicorn became a handsome prince
Standing tall with a white horse
The mermaid became a beautiful lady
Off in the sunset they rode of course

So if like me you’re a dreamer
Hear these words so true
Fantasy land is all around you
And the magic is waiting for you

Mystic Woods

A blanketed mist moves, among a towering evergreen wall
Haunting within a mysticism of magic known by all
Numinous trees dancing in shadows pass beyond my eye
Blocking vision of a supernatural when I walk on by

To enter into to this mystical place unknown
Imagination used, reveals chilling things to be shown
This eerie place sends chills up my spine, causing elevation
All my senses go wild, seeing the wonders of mystical creations

Despite the eeriness of this mystical land within
I can sense some breathtaking magic, as my I takes on a grin
I look beyond the mist to see the evergreen trees
Beautiful pink flowers are the wonders that I see

The air so thick full, of chills, yet so divine
Walking along I hear a sound, I look behind
For the noise I hear is the familiar sound of a man
I'd loved and lost before out side this mystic land

But how can this be many years he has been deceased
Yet standing there his eyes so blue, his love he has released
He takes my hand holds it tight, walks along side of me
That magical place our love once knew, now again can be

I sit with him in awe, talking of our time spent before
Every minute spent together made me love him even more
Suddenly sadness struck my heart, I realized while in his embrace
We will never again kiss or touch, once I leave this mystic place

Then he whispered softly, I won’t let you forget this
As he leaned over, embrace me, gently gave me a loving kiss
My eyes began to fill, when he gently touched my face
I'll always be here for you when you return to our special place

When I opened my eyes alone I was again
But my heart was not sad for I knew I'd see him when,
I opened my heart and mind to the supernatural door
Of the Mystical Woods and my love for evermore!!

Darn Gooses

I went along hunting, feeling pretty loose,
I heard a shot , saw my friend yep, he hit a goose.
I didn't see to where it fell or where it came to rest,
Until I heard this loud thunk , something hit my chest.

I didn't know what happened but felt like something lacked,
And suddenly to my surprise everything went black.
I woke up in the hospital the doctor had a smile,
Then everyone in the room laughed for quite a while.

Confusion set into my head I didn't have a clue,
What they thought was funny or what it had to do.
With why I was in here and what happened to me,
I couldn't get an answer they wouldn't let it be.
Then suddenly there was a pain that came from on my chest,
I finally figured out where that darn goose came to rest..

Now everytime I hear, a loud and sudden sound,
I don;t know,why but I find,my body on the ground..
I can't control what happens I suddenly just drop,
So if I found that darn goose I'll give him a big pop!

This is a true story that happened to my brother in law, Well all except giving him a pop
we all know that darn goose is dead

Cabin In the Woods

Someday I’ll have my cabins in the woods
Where I find peace, where everybody should
Where I told you before, my heart does belongs
Where waking up early to the birds morning song

In this cabin just me and my love
We will share our blessing from God up above
We will show our love with in this serene place
We’ll never get tired at looking at each others face

In this Cabin that is in the Woodlands So Dear
Is where I 'm complete and loose all fear
Where when I inhale the fresh pine smell
Where I see the rabbits running past the old water well

Where when I walk on the porch, I will see
Squirrels running freely and playing in the trees
Where the noises that I hear are the birds love song
Where holding my lover makes me feeling so strong

Where, when I walk in the woods, puts peace in my heart
Strolling hand and hand, knowing we'll never be apart
Where my loves grows stronger with each suns ray
Knowing we'll be together at the end of the day

Where I hear the creek, with its wonder and its flow
As we're sit there enjoying this creek running slow
We suddenly see coming towards us oh so near
What a beautiful site, it’s a mother and baby deer

This cabin in the woods will make me shine so well
With the wonders to explore, wildflowers I can smell
With the night coming in all the stars to be seen
Listening to the crickets, in natures love scene

Mother

As you lie there in pain hurting as you are
Our hearts go out to you, whether we are near or far
No matter what our differences have been until this day
We get down on our knees, every night and pray
Asking God to ease your pain, and to hold your hand
No matter where you go, no matter where you land

Your life is oh so precious, we love you Mom we do
We know that there are times that you think this is not true
But whether we have talked, or if we see each other
It will never change the fact that we love you our dear mother!

Your time is growing short, as your life it slips away
So I am asking God to guide you, each and everyday
To let you go on, where pain you'll feel no more
And paradise you'll find ,as you enter through that door

Mom, you taught us all, that God had intended to
Be shown upon your children, so they know what to do
Lessons in life you have tried to teach us all
Some of us may stand and some of us may fall
We were given you, to love us now and forever
The greatest plan from God, was You, and it was clever

So mom go walk that path, that brings you to your love
And be with Dad and God, in Heaven up above
Don't fight this anymore, just close your eyes and go
For this is what is best, for this we know is so

We'll say our goodbyes now, please know we all love you
We'll miss you even more, but mom this you must do
We'll hold your hand, as you leave us here today
To go to a better place, and be with God to stay

Mom we'll be ok, we want whats best for you
Your tired and your weak, for this we know is true
Your always in our hearts, but this you know is best
We love you mom, now please, go with God and rest!

A Fawns Miracle

It is hunting season in the mist of beauty and delight
In the thick of the trees, sounds of shooting, deer run in fright
Some grow weak are taken by man
Others search for safety somewhere in their land

A little fawn tumbles in fear, mother lost to the hunters dance
Not knowing where to go, suddenly, a light from his side way glance
He stumbles up on his feet, so confused, sadden and in fear
Heads toward the light with wonder, unaware of what is near

Hope in his little heart as he runs into a horrible surprise
Headlights in his face, breaks squeal, to his near demise
As he opens his heavy eyes, breathless and so unaware
Unable to move he shivers, to taillights of someone who cares

This angel who was approaching the near dead fawn
Was speaking to him with a soft voice as she put him on the lawn
She spoke to him with love, made him feel so safe
Hold on there beautiful baby I will help you find your place

He could feel his heartbeat grow weak as she stroked his little head
With tears in her eyes she spoke to God, this is what she said
Please lord it is my desire to save your wonderful creation
Give him breath, heal him please, it is not his destination

Her tears fell on his face, warmth he could feel once more
His breath along with his heartbeat, strong like it was before
Strength was back in him, to his feet he did arise
He kissed the beautiful angel, for she saved him from demise

He headed for the woods, then suddenly he veered
He turned to look again, the angel disappeared
Saddened once more alone again was he
The horrifying noises gone, now silence, how could this be

He entered in the woods his mother alive, back on her feet
Happily he trotted to her, his heart just skipped a beat
Not only did the angel save him, from something bad
But all was back to normal in his home with mom and dad!!

Mighty Wolf

The Mighty Wolf lives in the woodlands So Dear
Beautiful to see, beastly to encounter, never go near
He owns these woods and will protect them to the end
He walks proud and will attack to defend

You hear his howl late at night
He lets you know he’s there to fight
To protect what is his, so no human can overtake
This beautiful land he loves, but we forsake

He can be your friend if you are kind to his land
But don’t cross him, for he won’t understand
He loves his woods for he is in control
His children live here, its his very soul

So walk proud Mighty Wolf and protect all you can
Keep safe this place, your children, your land
Stand on your rock, let it be known to all
That this is your place, this is your call

Throughout night and day you walk with no end
You hunt to eat, you fight to defend
Protecting the place you live and will die
As I sit here silently, watch you go by!

Waterfall

A wonderful site to be seen in water oh so grand
As crystal clear comes crashing down, on the rocky waterland
A mist is splattered over all that are near this beautiful site
As they witness the spectacular waterfalls, beauty and its might

The crystal blue wonder that pounds down on the rocks
It often seems to do a dance, then it starts to mock
The natural flow of water now plundering with such force
To let us know the might of this Waterfall on its course

So breathtaking, sitting there, watching the glorious show
Of nature and the water, combining all they know
It speaks to nature just to say I'm here to help you thrive
All of Gods creations, I'll continue to keep you alive

Replenishing the waterhole with its beautiful display
To give a thirsty animal, a drink along the way
God gave this wondrous waterfall the ability to plunder
Down into the waterhole, to combine with natures wonder

So sit and watch this waterfall, enjoy the feeling inside
While witnessing the glorious show, thrashing down with pride
Let its beauty fill your heart with knowledge, peace and truth
Now knowing that the waterfall kept nature in its youth!

My Mountain Hike

The view is overwhelming, such beauty, while so meek
Through the trees I see astounding snow capped peaks
The different levels of wonder, gloriously grand
Seeing the spectacular Mountain, proudly as it stands

Tall tress all around , fresh pine I smell
A deep breath I take, peace within me dwells
Pondering which way to continue natures hike
To reach the pointed summit, the Mountains delight

Continuing my climb over rocky terrain
Air getting thinner, more excitement I gain
Above my site high in the cloudy sky
An eagle spreads his winds, while echoing his cry

Howling is heard, a proud grey wolf appears
Glaring eyes upon my own I shiver as he nears
Frozen in place he walks past, eyes still a glare
He disappears into the trees he growled with a dare

My journey continues as I come closer to the top
So beautiful and breathless I surely had to stop
I sat upon a log to gaze at a beautiful fawn
Drinking from a crystal lake, playing on natures lawn

Finally, top of the mountain, I have reached my destination
Relaxed as I view Gods’ beautiful creations
I lay back, close my eyes, in my peaceful serene place
Where nature calms your heart, God will touch your face!

Majestic Lake

I sit by the lake listening to natures monologue, so serene
I feel the cool breeze brush across my face, feeling like a queen
I look at the beautiful picture in front of me, so majestic blue
Water ripples with such calmness, picture perfect to view.

The feelings I get when I look across the lake of magical arrays
Viewing the extreme colors, of the beautiful sun setting in the haze
A view that subsides into the darkness of the night
But the effect on me will remain forever past the light

You will never hear this Majestic Blue lake cry with pain
For God has given it such beauty, peacefulness it has obtained
The creatures within this lake have Gods' promise of peace
Flying high above are wild ducks, and many geese

I inhale one more time I grab the halter to my horse
As I prepare to leave, natures riding course
Before I go I look once more into the Majestic Lake
And promise I waiver to ever forsake

I now leave this place in such wonderful hands
God protects this lake, watches over the land
To preserve it so I may return one day soon
To view its beauty, underneath the sky lit moon.
