Nadine Fababier Poem
Summer scent is the smell of freedom
where we can escape the flavor of boredom
so we plan to have our vacation on the beach
where we can relax and fresh air is within our reach
The warm wind tenderly embraced my spirit
I felt excited on this first visit
on an island where refugees can find paradise
an island where spending time is wise
The dulcet breeze gently kisses lush green trees
and the mirthful sun smiles over the vast seas
Where surfers play with gigantic waves
and are not certain on what road it paves
The fluffy clouds are smoothly sailing
the birds are singing and harmoniously dancing
There are butterflies that are colorful in hue
like enchanted fairies changing colors from pink to blue
I need my sun block, it's time for swimming
the tables are full because later we're all eating
Ladies are smiling to many cool surfer dudes
Children are hungry seeing delicious exotic foods
I picked a shell that whispered peacefully in my ears
and we built castles that we fancied over the years
out of the small grains of white sands
and all you need is helping hands
God was really great in creating splendid wonders
that were loved by all especially the nature lovers
There are numerous oceans that are aquamarine
and abundant trees and grasses that are green
The brother sun was slowly hiding
because the sister moon was coming
I guess it was our time to pack
but there will come a time for us to go back
Go back to a place of leisure and freedom
where you'll not taste the flavor of boredom
It would be hard for us to say goodbye
because truly we will come back and say Hi!

Nadine Fababier Poem
The era has many glorious phases and faces
when it began on the fall of the Roman empire
Age of Darkness seized war and fire
and time stirred diverse cultures and races
Different flavors were tasted at the end of the story
Commerce and knowledge became Europe's glory
but division of Germanic tribes was Roman's fall
and many emperor’s responded to religion's call
From Clovis to Louis was Christianism
Monks lives and prays in their monasteries
Socio-political systems such as manorialism and feudalism
gave way for peace and order to avoid miseries
The knights are nobilities that needs to pass every ordeal
with passion, poise, bravery, and their will
to fight for their king, their land, and their brothers
no matter how far or how hard the battle offers
In closing of another chapter in history
the Church plans to retrieve their Holy Land
from the Muslim Turks they'll fight hand in hand
Pope Urban II leads the Crusade that led to tragedy
Children were used to touch hearts of stones
but it was the road for them to loose their soul and bones
There were nine crusades that were executed
but none of which did the land exalted
The effects are the weakening of feudalism
and the Church was shadowed with criticism
but it paved way for the innovation of agricultural technology
from conserving water to wind energy
The rise of the trade industry
strengthen the European economy
Fares are conducted by the feudal lords
traders are selling foods, arts, and swords
Truly, the Medieval Time will leave a trace
in history and in every human race
It became the cornerstone of the eras after
A foundation for another stone to be smoother

Nadine Fababier Poem
I am a kind of word spoken by the voice of nature
I am the element flying gracefully on a green pasture
I am a silent child in Summer and the brave child that Winter has believed
I crown the opening of the golden Spring and a gentle heart that Autumn conceived
I caress the majestic body of the flower as she announce the coming of the light
At nocturnal melodies, I dance with the birds on their lonely flight
The plains are full of the vibrant grace by those lovely flowers
As I embrace the early morning lovers
I cradle the spirit of the one who drinks wine
As he promenades with the swaying leaves of the vine
I am a dulcet entity whispered by a faint death
I am the little joy sang by a saddened health
I am the air breathed by a living man
and a mysterious knight to a crying little one
When the flower look high to never see her shadow
I escape through a broken, dusty window
To uplift her when she will feel me blow

Nadine Fababier Poem
I can still hear the song of the spring breeze...
About a love went wrong
When two hearts hid for so long...
Now I hear the requiem's gong
