Love

Keep me in your heart,

Keep me in your mind,

And when times get rough,

I'll call you mine.

Peaceful Moments

As I walked through the forest of green,

I heard sounds of a nearby creek, a stream.

The smell of moisture filled the air,

And to hold it back,

I could hardly bare.

I entered the trees on the other side,

there were frogs croaking, and fish swimming,

taking the stream for a ride.

The clear water was cool, it's true,

The next time I go, I'll be taking you too.

A Feared Dream

As I ran, with nowhere to hide,

My screams unheard, reality defied.

The blackness shrouded me,

Forcing me to flee.

And as the darkness came,

The whole of my body went lame.

I fell into a never-ending abyss,

Thinking of the loved ones I'd miss.

Falling, falling, evermore,

I hit bottom, and awoke, on my bedroom floor.

Fire

As I sat there, deep in thought,

Through the corner of my eye, I swiftly caught,

A sound of screams, far away.

What happens next, pains me to say.

It was a man being doused in gasoline,

"Why are you doing this, friend?!" He screamed.

Then I watched in horror, as he was lit on fire,

The other man just walked away, then the sound came of screeching tires.

The man was being burned alive,

He rolled around screaming, trying to survive.

His screams were tales of untold pain,

His fellow "friend" was the one to blame.

He screamed and screamed evermore,

As his flesh melted from his body, he continued rolling on the floor.

His last breath was one more of a ghasp,

"How can this happen?" I asked myself, but he was dead at last.

I then ran over to see if he was still alive,

Only to find that what I had seen

Was all in my mind.
