The Golden Moon

What was the reason we sat upon the golden moon?
Here in my heart I know the motion wasn’t sand less dune.
Now I still hear the chiming of that distant brass bell.
Ringing in that soft sad melancholy tone called hell.

The water falls into my hand,
Like the tickling of the pounding sand.
Stinging me with its touch,
But clinging like a cripple to a crutch.
Never leaving my skin,
Such a grassless barren land of sin.
Oh such endurance I can not find to win.

Hear the bell chime louder upon the hour again.
Now the golden moon has sent us a golden shower.
For the whisper of the chime must remain.
Such a yellow softness has made mad men sane.

Screaming, crying out their fear…
Eco..eco do you hear?
This is a tune of yester year.
Was it all in my mind?

Search and you will never find.
What was the reason I do not know.
Now he is gown what have you to show?

The baby is crying louder, louder, in the night.
The eagle broke its wing in a soaring flight.
What was the name of my thoughtless man?
Reach for your soul cause no one else can.
You have washed up upon the ocean shore.
Now the golden moon is no more.

When they come with their dogs searching at dawns first light,
There will be a lifeless you who once shivered with a fright.
Mud a crusty cake in your hair.
You were trapped in a golden snare.
To this river I thee wed.
You had to jump, and now you’re dead.

The Love I Have For Thee

My heart is heavy for the hour
I asked the darkness to lend me loves enduring power
From dawn to dusk I think of thee
Should I pray to he who sits upon that heavenly thrown to set my spirit free

I beg thee
As I sit upon this dusty smoke stained asphalt, to let my heart be
Showering the dark for fear of what the angels may perceive.

Hear me now!
I am not queen of virtues thieves.
What I know is the sorrow love leaves

Touch my lips before you go
So profound that I should beg your puritan soul

He who view the works of evil proudly stands before my world with arms open to
me
"This is the love of loves, that undying love, that is surely more than any other love
could be.
This is the love that you have for me, and I for thee."

When the purple shadow creeps upon our parting, will this love that is the
greatest love of loves still remain to be
Or will the angels cast it in to the voraciousness of the raging sea
Still the moon will capture its sweetness inside of me
Holding my heart with bitter sweet anxiety
Forever its hue remaining as a glowing presence inside of me

Having more than life can offer to the softness or our love we will surely see
"It is the love of loves that grows inside of me
Then the stillness of this love of loves will tear the sureness of what dreams left
of this love we are straining to be

What is this love we can not let go of for fear of staining our souls with the
aftermath of its agony
This is the love I have for thee..

Filling My Cup

Whispering my name I hear

A love, sadness, a tear

Sorrows wings are in the air

With arms eloquent and fair

Lovely petals shower upon me

Filling my cup with glee

Angels standing by my side

Glowing beyond the prism of pride

Wrestling the leaves upon the ground

What was lost is found

The Snow White Dove

Fourteen years she gave him her love

Little children laughing at the snow white dove

Reflecting an image so soft and sweet

But the mirror lies then it cuts your feet

Closing out reality

The reflection blinded her, then she drowned in the raging sea

Imagining for all love of life

She was just a prisoner titled his wife

Now will she fake her separation from the cobra's beast

Now the wishless heart will feast

Love me not she screamed in vain

Inside there was nothing but a salty grain

Fruitless heart for the dove

He was blind and now he lost her love

Forever his heart will be caste in pain

You should have never began to perceive

Now the snow white dove must leave

Whispering her name out loud

Now the angels stole the shroud

What was the word he meant to say "love"

Oh, love is too late today

For the hour has begun to sleep

Now the angel has begun to weep

Should our souls start to pray

Not anymore, he can not stay

Pulling him down into the lost depths

I heard a voice telling me a year ago

Telling me the dove would intercept the hail of the blinding snow

God please guide her and make her warm

Shelter her from the darkness of the storm

Take our dove and sit her upon a golden lark

Snowy white radiant beauty of a bird

Now imprisoned where her song is never heard

He took her soul, he took her life

He should have loved her, she was his wife

Her heart must not remain unknown

Please dear god don't leave the snow white dove alone

My Dad

Dad is what you are
You slid into my life like a shooting star
You brought balance and comfort in
You brought me into a land with your grin

For a long time we were alone
For a long time we didn’t have you in our home
I still remember the absence of your presence
I still fill joy from gift of your essence

The way you worked so hard every day
The way you smiled in your loving way
The things you gave me that I never had
The way you walked in and became our dad

Though not borne to you as your own
Still my heart is filled with the love you have shown
My heart knows the love present in your hands
Through each callous and line I understand

You are the father I wanted before I knew
This I know in my heart is true
The man who took us to a humble home
And crafted it into a Palace of Rome

This it might seem to me
You brought us from the straights of poverty
You loved my mother with all your heart
You loved us all from the start

Yes, you are the father I love
The one sent to me by the angels above
I thank god for you each day
I thank god for sending you our way

A True Gift

A gift

Is not to appease

Is not to pacify

Is not pretence of a loveless lie

It is something true from within

Not an object tainted with sin

A gift is within you

A gift is not just something I send you

It is more than buying a teddy bear

It is something that shows you care

To care, to love with your whole heart

This gift of giving is the start

It is something I made with hands

Something that the memory withstands

It is more than a new videogame

It is something that when seen speaks your name

Because it is from deep inside

Not something you give to bribe

Or uphold your image to another

It is the strange wooden box made by a brother

So when handing yours out

Make sure that this is what it is all about

Cause the person receiving will know

If you just gave the gift for show

Salvation

Darkness enveloping my skin
Surrounding my body trying to get in
Whispering to me that it will be ok
Saying that things would be better that way
Trying to sway me to believe
Trying to captivate me as it deceives
Darkness saying that what it is wrong is right
Trying to fool me by night
Grabbing at me at every turn
Maybe some day the darkness will learn

In the distance I see his light
I see him before me shining bright
My salvation for being on this earth
Hew who gives me my self worth
He grabs my hand and pulls me to his side
He shelters me from the blackness in every stride
Wrapping me in a shawl of divinity
Holding my soul inside the glimmering purity
Telling me when I am sick I shall endure
Showing his love is the cure

Time For Lovers

Time is with us
As our hearts unite and our souls become one
Time is right now
As I reach for you and touch my palm against your brow
With my heart I do see all that I want us to be
And maybe love will come shining down on me

As the sun warms our eyes, and the snow cools our skin
Oh the soft gentle bend of the combined
Does blow my mind
There’s no more time
Or the sticking, tricking shadows that crawl upon our face
Erase, erase

Time is with me
As I walk with you for all eternity
Time is still to come,
As we journey far into what has just begun
With my heart I do know how much more we have to grow
And maybe our love is all we’ll have to show

As the sun warms our eyes, and the snow cools our skin
Oh the soft gentle bend of the combined
Does blow my mind
There’s no more time
Or the sticking, tricking shadows that crawl upon our face
Erase, erase

Time does not conceive what you truly mean to me
Time can not feel
The warm intoxication that you give to me
As our bodies collide with the sea
Time will not last if we run too hard or too fast
Just hold my hand and you’ll be ok, and with me time will never come our way
We will escape the time

Thinking of You

As I lay upon my pillow fell
Upon the pillow I know so well
Resting with each feather
Savoring one inch after the other

Resting upon this bed so clean
I think about the sorrows means
Reaching and look back
The way events seem to stack

Flickering through the reel
Thinking about how I feel
Fueling out my anger
Ignoring all the danger

Thinking always that it will change
Realizing the falsehood as I rearrange
Nothing more can I do
But rest my eye and not think of you

Love

Love, what have you done to me?
Oh love why can’t I set you free?
Love where are you now?
I know there is a chance I can make it,
But if I reach out my hand I can take it

Love, I dream about you
I know when I awake you won’t kiss me at my surprise of seeing you at my side,
But if I scream out your name, it because I no longer want to hide.

So love what do you say?
We kick up our heals and throw it all away, and play
Love what have you done to me?
Oh love, why can’t I set you free?
You took my heart, and you tore it apart.

But, oh love
I need you right now
I know there is a fire burning inside of you,
But if I try to tell you, you just won’t take the clue.
Love I can’t forget about you
I know when I awake you won’t be there to tell me everything is going to be alright,
But if I reach for you and you are standing far away, it is because the darkness
shines too bright.

So love what do you say?
We kick up our heals and throw it all away, and play
Love what have you done to me?
Oh love, why can’t I set you free?
You took my heart, and you tore it apart.

But oh love, what do I do?
I know there is no way it will happen in my mind,
But if my heart sees a hope it waits for what it will find
Love, I’ve walked out on you
I know when I keep dragging on; it only adds more pain to my defeat,
But if I turn back to find you looking down at me, it is because I hate to be beat.

So love what do you say?
We kick up our heals and throw it all away, and play
Love what have you done to me?
Oh love, why can’t I set you free?
You took my heart, and you tore it apart.

But oh love, I’ll do fine with out you
Yes love, in all actuality, it was only a bruise
