Salvation
Darkness enveloping my skin
Surrounding my body trying to get in
Whispering to me that it will be ok
Saying that things would be better that way
Trying to sway me to believe
Trying to captivate me as it deceives
Darkness saying that what it is wrong is right
Trying to fool me by night
Grabbing at me at every turn
Maybe some day the darkness will learn
In the distance I see his light
I see him before me shining bright
My salvation for being on this earth
Hew who gives me my self worth
He grabs my hand and pulls me to his side
He shelters me from the blackness in every stride
Wrapping me in a shawl of divinity
Holding my soul inside the glimmering purity
Telling me when I am sick I shall endure
Showing his love is the cure
