I Too Have a Dream

Just like Dr. KIng I too have a dream
I have a dream that one day children of all ages and colors will receive a better
education
Where they will one day have a better life after graduation
These students will hold their heads up high whether they become the next
lawyer or doctor in the world
By stepping up to say I am now a man or woman, no longer a boy or girl
I have a dream that every child will go to school and put forth effort in all their work
So that they will not need or want for anything, a life full of happiness rather than
hurt
These students will sit in that chair or that desk and take in everything that's
being said
Taking in knowledge rather than putting foolishness in their heads
In this dream children will be able to thank teachers for everything they know
College is where we should further our education, so its college we shall go
I have a dream that students will not go home to parents and lie about what
they've earned
But go home to parents and show them exactly what it is they've learned
Children of all ages will realize that its best to attend school
Instead of sitting at home doing nothing with time, smoking drugs which is not
very cool
I have a dream that we all will come together and help each other succeed
A place where we will be able to thank us and not you and me
I have a dream that no child will be left behind in grades
They will be able to thank teachers for the education they gave
A dream where students will work extra hard
Knowing that later on in life we all will play a major part
This dream will live across the nation as if its the last words to be heard
Because an education is not something that should be kicked to the curve
Students will not play when their teacher is trying to teach
Because not much can be understood this way even if you are sitting in your seat
In this dream everyone will be all that they can be
Whether it comes from nursing in the hospital or on the streets
If my words can matter like Dr. Martin Luther KIng
Then guess what, I TOO HAVE A DREAM

Father To the Fatherless

A little boy and little girl waited patiently day and night on what would be the perfect gift.
They both longed for someone who could lift their mother's burdens and take them on relaxing trips.
For years they watched their single mother sacrifice her happiness just to see them smile
No matter how hard it got, she kept telling them, it would all be over after awhile
This troubled the children and the mother too
She was doing the best she could do
Time went on and the pain became hate
The children thought love for them was too late
She kept them deeply rooted in the word and warned them about the heartaches of the world
She told the little boy be a man when its time and the girl a woman, don't as a little girl
The love she had for them was felt! When she handed them over to God, He became her biggest help
Years and years of not having anyone but to love them became a lifetime of love and joy from one man
She cried many tears. And wondered why did it take so many years?
The children were filled with peace and daily they would give their mother a kiss
She looked at them on her dying bed and said, "If there is anything you shall miss, trust in God, He is a Father to the Fatherless!"

Confused

Sometimes I stop and wonder were you and me really meant to be
If so, why is it that its you I never see
Well I can't say I don't see you at all because how did I learn to love you
And how can I love you if I don't care about any of the things you do
It's like you walked into my life and said "Hey you, fall in love
You will love me and only me, I am the only man you should think of
Taking my heart and soul, leaving only my mind
Not realizing that it can be taken away at any time
Telling me over and over that its me you love
Acting and pretending to be like the man above
Never thinking or caring about the outcome
But being proud that you have someone in your arms
Holding them tonight and saying goodbye tomorrow
Walking away with pride and leaving them in sorrow
Kissing and touching them like their the only girl at the time
And also thiking about your real lover who never leaves your mind
Asking the other to give in whenever you come around because its their love you
cannot choose
Leaving them torn, beat down, and body just CONFUSED
