Father To the Fatherless

A little boy and little girl waited patiently day and night on what would be the perfect gift. They both longed for someone who could lift their mother's burdens and take them on relaxing trips. For years they watched their single mother sacrifice her happiness just to see them smile No matter how hard it got, she kept telling them, it would all be over after awhile This troubled the children and the mother too She was doing the best she could do Time went on and the pain became hate The children thought love for them was too late She kept them deeply rooted in the word and warned them about the heartaches of the world She told the little boy be a man when its time and the girl a woman, don't as a little girl The love she had for them was felt! When she handed them over to God, He became her biggest help Years and years of not having anyone but to love them became a lifetime of love and joy from one man She cried many tears. And wondered why did it take so many years? The children were filled with peace and daily they would give their mother a kiss She looked at them on her dying bed and said, "If there is anything you shall miss, trust in God, He is a Father to the Fatherless!"
