He's Just a Small Town Southern Man

I know of a man
The finest man from the Southern land
That man is my dad
He is just a small town Southern man

As strong as a bull and as old as a mountain,
He wouldn’t harm a flea and is as wise as can be
He’s as smart as a whip,
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks

He rather be working at home or at the family farm,
Instead he works on washers and dryers every day
He drinks Heineken from some German town
Cause he truly is just a small town Southern man

A Southern Lady

There is a lady I know
She is not considered slow
She is my sister Lex,
She is no hex to me

Southern born and Southern raised,
She is a true Southern Lady
Born and raised in NC,
As country as can be
She is rough and tough and loveable as can be,
You couldn't touch her with a 10-foot beam

She is as kind and loved as there can be
She is often compared to honey from a bee
She is as slick as grass in July,
Golly oh me, how lucky can I be?

Just a Southern Thang

Watching NFL on Sunday
Flying the Rebel flag every day
Playing poker every night
Wow, Life is great

Yelling "Git-R-Done"
Mud-slinging in our big trucks
Listening to the crowd
Watching the broncs buck all night
What a wonderful day, hey.

Whether I am hunting or fishing,
I know I am having a great day
Listening to Southern Rock
Rocking out loud to "Kid Rock"
That is my idea of a great day

A Man Named Lee

There once was a man named Lee,
Who was called General Lee
His full name was Robert E. Lee
He was from the South
He was very Southerly

When the big fight broke out,
You could always count on Lee
To answer the call of his fellow brothers
He fought for the South
Very gentlemanly

When he lead, everyone followed
For you see, there was no one better then Lee
A rough and tough, till the very end
We Southerns will always miss you, General Lee.

Trip To the Heaven Hotel

Hello, there
How you doing?
Good, I hope
Now, I am going to tell you of the tale
About the woman who set sail for the Heaven Hotel

Now, this lady was no ordinary lady
Why, you could even say she had a touch that was heavenly
This lady would have to be my good old Granny
Now everyone loved my Granny,
But some things loved her in way
That makes you want to stay away
For you see, She had a terrible cancer who wouldn’t leave her be.

As hard as she fought,
The mean old cancer would not leave her be
Now, She fought long and hardly,
But that dang old cancer won eventually
She passed away, in a very sad way

On top of the big sea, she sailed tenaciously,
Some say she sailed like a pirate at open sea
Until she finally got to the place when Heaven be
And surely as can be, next to J and G was waiting my uncle Billy
Just waiting to see that she make it into Heaven safely

She mounted with him on a horse that was so heavenly,
As rare and fair as you would ever see
Helping her arrive just in the nick of time
So she could say, Mother I have arrived at the Heaven Hotel
