In a badger trap
Found with peanut butter
Contented to be nursed back to health
And sleep on the chair
Next to the dog
Cuddly, soft, playful and sweet ~
Always waiting at the door,
To give a welcome meow and kiss . . .
You are the black cat dancing on my tongue
And each word that leaves my mouth

And my voice is now unlucky

The Cat Waits
By the light of the moon
The cat waits until dark
To catch his small prey
Maybe a chipmunk or lark.
