Tom Turkey has been defrocked
Cleaned, basted and stuffed
Surrounded by pumpkin pie
Green bean casserole
Tart cranberry sauce
Come, Pilgrim,
Eat!
Tom Turkey’s tender meat waits
Lasagna’s served first
Enticing garlic scent wafts
Melted, fresh mozzarella
Layered with rich sauce

You start with a small pumpkin.
Clean it, cut in cubes,
Fry with bacon and onions
A little butter.
Add salt and pepper
Till tender
