Trifle is one of my favourite sweets; my mum used to insert layers of ricotta mixed with cordial peel....mine is less complicated, but hers tasted better! she also sprinkled coconut on top with chocolate, instead of the meringue. // off to bed; will be back to you...tomorrow...goodnight! // paul

Hi Jan....Maltese trifle, when well prepared, is very tasty; it may be enriched with layers of ricotta, too. Maybe one day you'll be able to try it:) hugs // paul
