You'Re
There will never be one above you
You're elevated, above my best friend.
You're fresh air on a stagnant day
You're the balm that makes me mend.
You're the smiley face on my morning
You're a cool drink when I'm athirst.
You're my buffer from life's problems
You're joy that makes my heart burst.
You're my shade in the summer heat
You're chlorophyll keeping my leaf green.
You're the petrol that fuels my engine
You're my wife, and love, Ernestine.
For my wife on our 45th wedding anniversary.
