Your Song

now to rearrange, or pick and choose from what i had, that made up you the scattered thoughts inside my head "write a song about me" you said i found some gems; lyrical gold in my snapshot box of things you told i strung them together, set them to rhyme my jigsaw of poetry in 2/4 time this is the stuff that songs are made of but i cant sing in tune its a shame i have dyslexia or i'd try it in accapella i know you think its sexier the words, i know will make you smile i was in love, you in denyal those extraordinary nights, sick with perfection are mirrored here in my singsong reflection that time we laughed so hard we cried rolled in the grass, stayed up all night dizzy whispers accross the bed 'write a song about me' you said this is the stuff that songs are made of but i sing out of key this problem makes the tune flop sound more r'n'b than hip hop so i guess instead of singing i'll have to scream your song from rooftops

look up the Scottish Rite organization to see if they are in your city or town. They offer FREE phenomenal weekly tutoring using the gold standard method of teaching and aiding dyslexic readers (Orton Gillingham method). I have a dyslexic son and I also used to tutor with them. Free if you have a formal diagnoses of dyslexia. (register with your school to get that testing done) You may have to get on their waiting list but is well worth it. Will give you great skills and self confidence galore!
