Your Silhouette
your silhouette lingers into a soft verse-
I breathe in qualm just to sense your beauty. The willow weeps for the loss of you, and I am restless trying to forget you. I lay in agony wondering if you were scared. A steady answer wouldn’t ease my troubled insight.
before you I was nothing,
with you I was whole-
without you I am nonexistent.
to you I was but a beautiful shadow,
something hovering over the light of the universe.
to me you were but freedom,
something to ease my anguished soul.
now I am abandoned,
left in solitude trying to forget everything you were.
your death so sudden,
my sorrow too deep-
my hands tremble at the loss of you.
for I cannot unlove you.
your silhouette lingers into a lonely grave...
