Your Lips
Your lips so close to me,
My wistful dream
Tantalizing, like a cat with a string
I long for your lips with my every being;
To taste your love with mine
I find myself pining for you,
Wanting to do all I can do
To draw you in sweet embrace;
Steal your breath without trace
Drawing tingles down your spine
I find myself glimpsing your way
Often wishing you'd choose to stay;
Because of that damaging dream so sweet,
A hidden secret, a treasure, a treat
But reality burns for more- for your lips so fine
I was given a vision of heaven,
When I, on your lips kissed you seven
And all of time could stand still
So I and my love, bend to your every will-
Then I opened my eyes and the two worlds failed to collide
My heart ripped from my chest in bitter despair;
For while you are there,
Never could you imagine just what you and those lips do to me
I Long to meet our lips together and show you all I can be
I find myself mesmerized by your lips, but still to you I lied
I hid my fantasy in the falsehood of a dream
When it's the wish for your kiss that makes my eyes gleam
I longed to take your lovely face in my hands
But fear took hold and destroyed my plans
Now forever I wish for you- your lips by my side
Your lips, so far from me
My wistful, unattainable dream...
