Your Fire and Ice

Fire and Ice Fire and Ice You set me on fire Then turn into ice Afraid of affection Afraid of the depth You play with the fire Yet stay safe instead I smolder in heat Your touch is like ice Don’t know if it’s love Or lust in your eyes Fire and Ice Fire and Ice I’m burning in hell While you try to decide So, here is the plan Here’s what I’ll do I’ll freeze up my heart Freeze it up for you When you are certain That I’m your desire Then, baby, you’ll know How to set me on fire! Fire and Ice Fire and Ice Will my heart survive? Your fire and ice

I'm afraid of affection too... Even though I desire the touch of a woman. I don't know what to do. Oh lonesome me! I want to find the right match... I guess I just have to be patient. I'm not the only one!

Been there at least once, no doubt most people have. Love can be extremely hot, then quickly go subzero cold. Affairs of the heart are held in another's hands, leaving use vulnerable and at times feeling empty and unsure. I hope you made it through your ordeal in one piece. Good luck in your future romances, hope you find your right fit. Peace, TGM

I am so glad I am going through some of your older poems posted on here, because they are brilliant! Love this one as well. Sometimes it is really hard to read people. I tend to try and figure out the other before they figure me out. All in all, a great piece here. : ) "When you are certain That I’m your desire Then, baby, you’ll know How to set me on fire!" Love that part! Always, Laura

Yes, Justin. I'm a very intense person. Sometimes that is not a good thing. I have to draw back, in fear of being too overbearing. A beautiful thing must never be imprisoned or the love will suffer. I'm learning....It's been a hard lesson for me...to tone down my intensity. I feel that life is short and so...everything must be experience to the extremes. Not all feel this way....Unfortunately, and so....ice....is what ensues. Thanks for visiting me. I needed this.

Talicia...thanks ever so much for this lovely visit. I do get hurt when I realize that when I was new...some of my work went unnoticed, and it's some of my favorite writes. Thank you. I just might do that soon! Hugs

I can't believe no one commented on this one. You should repost it, it is very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My red door poem was similar in the fact that few people commented. I thought it was a decent poem but for some reason hardly any views. It did get featured once and that helped.
