Your Best Pal
Your Best Pal
Your best pal
Waits for you in the morning,
Sleeps close beside you at night.
Your best pal
Loves to tug on your britches,
But knows to never bite.
Your best pal
Licks your tears when you’re crying,
Tries to comfort your soul.
Your best pal
Never gets mad,
Even when you play with her bowl.
Your best pal
Loves to play chase the ball,
No matter how far you throw it away.
Your best pal
Brings it back to your hand,
And knows to stay.
Your best pal
Might be a dog,
But she owns the heart of my boy.
Your best pal
Means more to you,
Then any other toy.
~
Muffin, Christian’s best pal
