You touched my heart today... I know it was hard to find This tiny heart of mine It was buried way down deep Ordered not to make a peep But your words just reached inside And cuddled this heart of mine They shooed my pain away And brought in the light of day Made it all seem quite alright Your words just held me tight For you touched my heart today… You touched my heart today... Your words were such a balm After the vicious storm…a calm You rewrote my forgotten song And helped me to sing along Your words wet my drying soul Made me verdant again and whole Each word had its rightful place They soothed away my sad disgrace For you touched my heart today...
