You Too Are a Mother

You too are a mother You changed their diapers You wiped their noses You gave them their bottles You pampered and spoiled them You wiped the tears from their eyes You too are a mother You applauded their accomplishments You cried at their defeats You offered a listening ear, in their time of need You too are a mother You shared in their pain You gave extra encouragement when needed You shared strong words of wisdom You laughed at all the silly little things they would do You cheered them on, all of their life You assured them everything would be alright You too are “A Mother"

Good sentiment but actually i'm a father, not a mother. In a world of inequality - fathers are less than recognised as much as women are paid less than men. This poem is dangerously controversial on the topic that the eqivalent feminism would protest.

Mr. Steve, this poem is recognizing women that can't or don't have children, but have taken children under their wings... loving and nurturing them as their own. I believe they too deserve recognition. Next month we will recognize Mothers... but they also deserve recognition. Thanks for your honest reply, but there is nothing dangerous about this poem, if interpreted correctly. Be blessed!!!
