You are the light of my world my precious son filled my days with happiness and fun. Always smiling, never blue how quickly you grew. Pure delight you shine so bright. Strive in all you do now, and for your whole life through. Spread your wings and fly; my job is done. Well Jan, I like your contest name suggestion. Your poem uses the form as the metaphor for time allowing you to use your words to become the sand of a life moving from birth to maturity. Excellently done, congrats on the win.
