You Decide
Beautiful I say
You’re beautiful
He laughs like moonlight on
Water,
Flashes those dark green eyes,
Reminding me of cave walls I’d love to
Get lost in
My darling,
You scream of adventure and home.
Beautiful,
Just beautiful
I whisper from the other side of a
Camera lense
Who would’ve thought
The collision of this day and the next
Would set the horizon on fire.
She paints words across my mind and I
Smile at her, my muse
Has a habit of finding a rhythm for
My woes
Crimson ink in our veins
She discovers more exotic words for ‘ beautiful’
But nevertheless she is.
A tiger at bay
Fighting to be the last words,
The pearl in the oyster,
She brings the ocean to June
With me, we climb mountains and sip
The clouds
Her smile, white and brown
The earth and sky meeting
She’s beautiful
They’ve taught me
Beautiful doesn't mean anything
Unless it sounds
Brand new
The moment it bubbles from my
Lips.
