You Can'T Get

That is only rain running down my cheeks, although my heart is breaking, my spirit you can't defeat. Love is only a feeling, and in time it will heal, but a broken spirit is deadly, and who you are, it will steal. Self worth can't be bought, it can only be instilled, by people that will praise you, and respect from others, you always feel. A beaten down flower has very little chance to ever grow or bloom, and only if someone saves it, can it be free of a certainty of doom. So I'm standing in the rain today, my cheeks are soaking wet, but there is one thing I know for sure, my spirit you can't get.
