You Cannot

She looks me in the eye not a single spark of life and says those words causing my heart to ache. You cannot tell me how to dream. You cannot tell me how to love. You cannot tell me its my fault. I am one person, not something that takes care of it all. You cannot tell me he left us. He left you. Her screams erupt causing my body to shake. Then she comes closer but what is she given? A fearful girl cowering in the corner. You cannot tell me I am worthless. I wasn't born for your happiness.
