You can try doing things your way

You can try doing
things your way
If you really think
that
it is best for you
But some times that’s
just not the right way
and you need to slow
down and quit
being in such a hurry
That way you wont end up
getting hurt by somebody
that doesn’t care about you
Life is never simple or easy
as you would like it to be
And some times things don’t
work out
like you would like them to
That’s why it is far better
to approach things slowly
That way you wont end up getting hurt
like you have been
so many times on that lonesome highway
