You Arrived On a Comet

You arrived on a comet, from out of the blue And, entered my life when I hadn’t a clue A whisper of smoke permeating my soul Rekindling the fires and making me whole I spoke of my fears and you soothed them away You called me your Queen…said you wanted to stay Your love freed my soul, now I drink from that cup Since the day that you asked me to “please open up” I was aching to love like before I knew pain Now you’ve freed up my heart to do that again I’ve pulled out the stops, thrown the caution aside Put my soul at your feet, thrown away all my pride My love has no need for these trivial things My heart only craves all the love that you bring In the merciless quiet of this room alone I offer my heart as your eternal home
