You Are a Dance
You are a special thought I want to make room for,
On a comfy couch for two
A soft pillow to hug, sprouting warm happy feelings
With every squeeze and every smile
A perky guffaw neither forced nor planned
Spreading hues of oranges, and yellows and greens
In my deprived, crazy mind
You are a dance,
Dedicated to all clowns and all lepers
Eyes lit up on a starry night,
Witnessing them shoot across the skies
Like diamonds on a high
I want to move with you,
Laugh with you
Lean forward and lose it,
I want to bump foreheads,
I want to ache on my sides
And giggle till I collapse and cry
You are a silly handshake pulled into a hug
An adorable, laughable pug
A crazy hairdo, with an oversized hat that covers your eyes
And when I lift the hat, I see in those globes my face smiling back
Not caring how the hell this happened or when
Shrugging, as we laugh a sigh in surety,
Knowing that we’ll do it all over again!
