Yonder Star
Rises yonder star once more, aloft Jerusalem's dreaming,
And bathes the Nazarine son in silver frost,
Dapple the dunes and wastelands, redeeming,
Framing shepards and kings and paradise once lost,
Until svelte harmonic voices from ancient graves
Ascend the turmoil of generations reborn,
And the spiritual purgatory shrinks to enclaves
Flooded with radiance upon a starlit morn.
Rises yonder star once more, a diamond on lavender skies,
And emanate peace, the tranquil pulse of rays
Impales wonder in the minds through glistered eyes,
Herald the king's rebirth, light of lights, day of days,
And from the vaults of buried temples, prayer
Defies the dust of ages, scales the tombs to tear them down,
And resurrects this prince beyond compare,
As yonder star anoints the golden crown.
