Years
To lose faith after having come so far
is to deny the dream from its ability to soar
On the days where strength is tested
and courage required
One must remain diligent in the progression
of all they've acquired
As easy as it may be to just give up
Where lies the glory defeat as such?
Five years ago, that girl who is gone
is determined to remain five more years strong
Stuck here in the middle of the past and the future
Believing wholeheartedly in the capability instilled in her
She may long for the days of complete bliss and no worries
Though she can still feel the ghost of days when life was so lowly
So humbled she finds herself amidst a singular gloom hour
and takes to heart the challenge not to cower
Staying faithful in her course and dredging up fight for one more day
A girl with a past who's ten years on her way
