Writing a book doesn’t take much At least that is what everyone thinks Maybe hours, days, weeks, months, or years Sitting alone in front of a keyboard Ignoring the world around you Listening to crappy music Eating tons of Ramen Noodles And drinking the strongest black coffee There is never such a thing as sleep Your mind keeps writing or rewriting the plot But eventually it always ends The last words get put into the story Then the real hell starts Some editing and a new story That is the life of every author And we love it © Poem – III/XVII/MMXXII LRET

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Nothing more satisfying, Lord. Enjoyed reading your poem on writing a novel. Interesting. I've been writing since I was a child, and I'm 80! If it's in your blood, you just can't get away from it.
