We are having some cooler and windy weather..I am enjoying it but it is somewhat cooler in the shade in the early morn..This is about the early morn time on the porch..Sara
The wind blows wrecklessly
Tossing the pecan's emerald green tresses,
Ruffling the birds' feathers;
Chills their thin spindly legs.
The sun has a very difficult job,
Tossing radiant heat against the wind.
It's job is secure; but it is not working
Out on the porch, where shadows are cast.
Princess finds a sunny spot with one tossed pillow
Used as a cushion, another stands up blocking the wind's
Bloisterous voice, Princes warms..
Time out is short for chill hurts to the bone.
Thank you God for a few minutes to commune,
Enjoy the sighing of the pines, waving of the breeze,
And soft chatter of the Mocking Bird.
For these life is enriched..
