Wrath

The guns expelled their thunder Their smoke has long since gone The blood-soaked ground they caused The rain erased thereon Survivors’ horrid memories Breed reminiscent tears Man-made causes of the conflict Fade o’er ensuing years The Madmen who create them Are those who never fight The Lives of those who died That Day Lost their futures’ right To parent future engineers And doctors who’d find more cures Or scientists’ future breakthroughs So Mother Nature can endure. So, still we adhere to Madmen who Lead us down the path To destiny’s inevitable finality: Politically destructive wrath

Hello Jack ... nice verse to recite, and tells a tale of those who have no conscience at all - thank you Jack - Lindsay

Howdy, Lindsay! I have to tell you, 'tis you who has captured my attention with your writings! Not only that ... I've been receiving an education on Australian slang which is much appreciated. I think I've read "Billabong" entry a dozen or more times, and haven't finished enjoying my reads even yet. You've a gift of storytelling - and in verse! Thank you my "down-under" friend ... your writings are part and parcel of my required reading. Thank you, Mate! Jack Clark
