Wounded Without

Balance escapes malcontent minds withered in worry, gazed through the blinds Disconnected with the world outside Yearn for release, all peace ceases Guarded, distrustful, suspected malfeasance Weary of those heart guarded treasons People's intentions change like the seasons Now suspicious always...in all ways My mind narrows down like hallways Carefully weighing the words that they're saying Watchful of wolves as they creep in their preying Unworthy of praying, the shepherd's off playing unguarded sheep... ripe for the sleighing Forever wanting of tender loving Feeling undeserving, a dark cloud above me A wounded creature, cornered and lonely licking wounds, longing for her to console me I lay here empty............................

Hi Steve, "People's intentions change like the seasons" evokes provocative images, and it is certainly true in our world today. Great work! And thanks for reading "Lt. Willy on Trial." I did not see the movie "Valley of Elah." Do you know when it was released? I'll try to find it. If you recommend it, it must be good! Carolyn

A very deeply moving piece as my heart feels you... Our perception of time as we anguish these feelings may seem as though time stands still almost but in reality there is no real time, only what we calculate as humans. onward we go to experience life for all that it is and can be :) my best regards with love, Lucinda
