A wounded sigh, an expression evincing the pain of hurt, A bawl in solitude, turbulence of inner emptiness stirs, When emotions clamor, simmering in angst of regrets, When mute demeanor, of injured breath, wistfully frets. Soul desperately aches for a special someone to talk to, Someone who understands the language of quietude, Someone who can soothe the trauma, of life gone askew, Someone who brings to fore, hope of tomorrow anew. Laments of past echo, moaning upon meadows of life, Reverberating in heartbreak of grief, bereft of promise, To rehabilitate devastation of savage emotional storms, As covenants, deemed eternal, hesitate in broken vows. Wounded hearts now trace moments of love, sadly lost, When loneliness dwells in nightmares of past forlorn, When the abandoned pledges of forever, callously mock, As muffled wail recalls, life of joy and love, that once was. Sorrows now seek solace, yearning compassionate voice To soothe tides of heartbreak, agitating lonesome mind, As hopes of morrow rekindle in womb of promising night, When smile-endearing, subjugates cry of wounded sigh.

Exquisitely crafted, my dear friend. A favorite on my list. Your skills are incredibly refined! The portrayal of emotions and compassion in the text was truly exquisite. The vivid imagery and concise descriptions evoke a deep emotional connection for those who have shared similar life experiences. I must say, my friend, that I am truly speechless and unable to provide any further commentary. Dear Vijay, your poem is incredibly touching. For those who are silently healing, haunted by memories, and searching for understanding, finding someone who truly comprehends their language of quietude can be a challenge.

So hard finding someone who understands us in silence, it's harder finding someone who understands when we talk. So many lingered healing. "When the abandoned pledges of forever, callously mock." Why make promises that can never be fulfilled? I no longer entertain words, just action, till where life parts, so there would be a few unmet words to think about. Nice one Vijay.

"Soul desperately aches for a special someone to talk to, Someone who understands the language of quietude," Absolutely Brilliant! "When the abandoned pledges of forever, callously mock, As muffled wail recalls, life of joy and love, that once was." Ain't that the truth...lesson, to pause before igniting primer. "When smile-endearing, subjugates cry of wounded sigh." Love it! A FAV from me.

These words elegantly present the angst of longing. Looking back at man's history we can count the many covenants that God made to embellish this world but evil reigns supreme and we care not about the dangers we bring on ourselves. Great introspective poem.

the first two lines were so compelling..."A wounded sigh....a bawl in solitude. I appreciate the raw mental image created in those words. How often I've felt that yearning for a compassionate voice to soothe me. Your words show great insight into the human condition and the pain of heartache and loneliness. Well done. Have a great evening, Sara

Vijay, I particularly like the lines about someone to talk to. It is very hard to deal with ache alone. The way you wrote this poem reminds me of the previous poem about an ethical code of behavior in honor of this holiday. You are so very thorough in your exploration of sadness here. Just as through as you were about what we need to do to live well. You are a book of kindness and have a wonderful "how to" philosophy of life. It's all a pleasure to see, read, and contemplate.

You’ve written a very moving poem dear vijay. It’s never easy for those that are healing in silence, when memories keep haunting, and they keep searching for one that understand their language of quietude, as only few can comprehend what they speak in silence. I love the rhymes here and also how well youv expressed and written for the prompt, especially “ Someone who can soothe the trauma, of life gone askew, Someone who brings to fore, hope of tomorrow anew.“ that hits so strong and deep and is powerful! The flow of your lines and what youv delivered here is beyond impeccable! A fave definitely! Best wishes for the contest
