Wounded

On that day when everybody loved me The applause was undying to hear There was frenzy all over the place Filled with warm welcome and embrace It was too perfect not to open my eyes For reality was occupied with hypocrisy Too blind to see fire in heaven Too deaf to hear screams from whispers Too numb to feel a bleeding heart For everything was perfectly crafted while I watched them doing their thang But not everyone of them was real to me Apparently they did it for purpose For I was a brave knight to rescue them To fight for them until war finally ends But when the show was done Each of them flew with the wind As I laid on the ground wounded Left me with no proud and honor

I see the metaphor and have no excuse. I love the way you have expressed yourself. I'll try harder! Great write. You must remember,"Pride cometh before a fall."
