Would You Love Me Then
If I could have more money,
so you'd have more to spend.
If I gave you what you wanted,
would you love me then?
If I could be respected,
and honored among men.
If people really trusted me,
would you love me then?
And if I knew just what to say,
and proved to be your friend.
If I were there when you needed me,
would you love me then?
If I showed I really loved you,
with flowers I would send.
And if you could depend on me,
would you love me then?
If I told you I was sorry,
for the way I was back when.
And if you could forgive me,
would you love me then?
