Would You Hear
If I spoke to you of springtime,
Would you hear a single word?
Would you hear the dancing of the leaves,
Or the singing of a bird?
And if I spoke of summer,
Would you listen carefully...
To the chirping of the crickets
Or the buzzing of a bee?
Then should I speak of autumn
Of the red-orange leaves in fall;
Would you hear the seasons turning...
Would you hear them change, at all?
But what if come the winter
As the trees are caked with snow--
Would you hear the wind traverse the wood...
Then listen to it blow?
