Worship In a Tear
Messiah in a manger still,
Where ne’re a whisper fell.
A place too holy for their words,
So angels came to tell.
Proclaiming there good news to all
“Rejoice this blessed day!”
For God Himself made flesh and bone
Lay cradled in the hay.
Jesus still, his parents too
For all who worshiped knew,
When one is in His presence
Utter reverence is due.
A silent Child as heaven hushed
And Mary gently wept.
So exalted in her motherhood
The tears could not be kept.
The only sound befitting of
This manger scene of glory
Is the wisp of reverent tears that wail:
Holy! Holy! Holy!
