Worlds Apart

A poem dedicated to Harry James. We’re worlds apart Afraid to start How can I live without you in my heart? The ecstasy, The Controversy How can I spend another day without you? We will never know what will come of the love that we share No one thing in this world could stand to compare The kind words that are exchanged The touch of your warm embrace I could stay in this moment forever Stroking your hair tonight As your laying right there by my side Keeping you warm Under the moonlight. The reflection of the bridge lights on the water Make my mind constantly wonder I couldn’t imagine any moment to feel so perfect Your soft lips come in for the taking No negative words Nothing to break me At that moment I feel a glimpse of heaven Break through and capture my soul. The rain droplets fall down the elevator As we are so close and so warm inside. I turn to look at you, And see you fast asleep , holding me tight. I cant help thinking what it would be like to spend everyday of my life this way If I let this love go, I will never be able to show The amount of warmth I have inside And eventually The love will subside. But, we are worlds apart, Afraid to start. How can I live without you in my heart?
