World War 3 Poetry Contest

Sponsored by: Robert James Liguori

We have had nightmarish experiences, Of fighting two worst world wars already. Both wars involved military alliances Between different groups of countries. The first one was fought against colonialism; The second was due to ideological differences. Though, the methods of warfare were different, In these wars, millions of people lost their lives. Yet, we haven’t learnt any lessons from them. A critical phase, now the world is passing through; Based on religions and regions nations are divided. For silly reasons, one country hates the other, One nation occupies the territories of others. For selfish motives, one intimidates the other, Cooperation and coordination, they know not. Proper friendly relations, they maintain not; Exhibiting nuclear power, one threatens the other. Today, the world is on the verge of World War three. It’s time to stand united and fight against wars, For the welfare and survival of our future humanity. Life is nothing but learning good lessons, From our past irreversible bad experiences.
