Words
Written in the style of Sylvia Plath:
WORDS
sting
injecting my bloodstream
a blue and red highway,
a car that crashes my brain.
shards
of crystal death,
splinter my veins,
twisting like
a hundred daggers.
flowing,
crashing over rocks -
over and over again
déjà vu.
a lion’s carcass -
heavy with honey,
vultures devour,
picking the meat
off my bones,
where he left off.
i hydroplane
through the crude sky,
eyes bloodshot.
