Words

Words can be like punches And would you say that they can hurt as much Would you feel better laughing with the crowd Or having a strong heart and saying That's enough A bully is a jackal Preying on the sick and weak And when he speaks He highlights every flaw It's the meat between his jaws He reckons its your fault he's hungry But Words can be like tended gardens And would you say that they can can heal the soul Find pieces of a shattered heart While lightning strikes and thunder rolls Claim back a suicidal from the edge Words can be the most precious thing on earth To uplift the downtrodden And bless what was cursed We are judged by our actions But some actions are heard Would you believe a disposition can be changed From the power of your words By Kyle Ezra Kriticos

I agree, words have the most damaging effect, and yes they can be healing as well. Excellent poem Kyle.

You got that right Kyle, words are tough to absorb and can be more painful than a punch. I like Words, (BETTER YET) when they leave a great feeling inside. Wonderful poem. LINDA
