Wonderstruck
In Nazi times, lives were put in danger.
Good folks hid Jews so that they would not die.
Imagine risking one’s life for a stranger!
Wonderstruck by something such as that am I!
And many other acts of bravery
I’ve heard about have made me want to cry.
What sacrifice throughout history!
Wonderstruck by mankind’s valiant acts am I.
Are acts of courage plentiful today?
Or rather – are such acts in short supply?
A narrow path not easy is God’s way.
Wonderstruck by righteous path-takers am I.
