Wonder
Shall I live or die?
Will the living die and the dead live?
Shall the men of today,
Bear wombs and carry babies in them?
Will night turn into day,
That we may work more and more?
Shall the tall grow short and the short tall?
These and so many others,
Boast about whenever they confuse me,
Whenever I think about,
When the sun shall rise from the west,
And set in the east.
When we shall walk on the skies below,
While we look up at the grounds above.
When the waters of the Nile shall flow from the north,
And return to the south;
When the mountains shall lay flat,
And valleys shall heap into mountains.
That is why I leave the wisdom to the wise,
The unknown to the knowledgeable,
And the wonders to the wonderful maker,
For I cannot stop imagining,
Yet the world shall remain unchanged till I depart!
