Woman

Woman The stars bestowed your eyes The moon, your cherry red lips The sun, that light in your mind Heaven, those gold finger tips The oceans surrendered your hair Your form, fashioned by tides Rivers tempered the spirit Where patience and love resides Strength, came from the mountains The wind, sweet lullabies Volcano’s forged the Passion That lives in soul filled eyes But where, oh where is completion Makes the pulse race and dart For this, woman must wait Till a man, gives her his heart. I have to visit an older piece because unfortunately you no longer write. It's a shame. This poem shows that incredible talent you have. Thank you for your visit to my latest poem, Richard.

Hello Charlotte, Not so sure I'm a man of romance lol but the great romantics are among my favourite writers and I do prefer the more traditional forms of poetry, many thanks for your visit

Mr Seal....this is absolutely heavenly.....how delightful, sweet, musical, and tender. I think you give too much credit to man, though....Me thinks Man needs Woman to be complete. What say you? Go back to creation story, my dear.... ;) Faulty theology, but lovely poem! I forgive you for that....

And there I was thinking it was Eve who tempted Adam's heart away with my faulty theology lol, anyway I'm not suggesting you have to keep the man, which would explain why there's so many heartless men out there haha, besides, you know it works both ways :):)
