Without You

You came into my life, But you didn’t want to stay, You wanted something more, So you went on your way. You thought what you wanted, Was still to be found, But lust was controlling your heart, And love was not around. Everyone could see, That nothing was true, Everyone knew, Everyone but you. You were blinded by her beauty, She was all you could see, You neglected your friends, Especially me. I tried to show you, What she was doing to you, But you thought I was jealous, You didn’t think it was true. So I didn’t hang on, I let you go, I loved you so much, But I couldn’t let it show. You made my life, Made it great that day, The day you appeared, To show me the way. But now you’re gone, What will I do, To have to go on, Go on without you.
