Within Her Eyes

Nocturnal butterflies chase anguish deep, Mascara trails darken powder-white skies, Peering t’wards nowhere unwilling to sleep, Fearful lost visions seen within her eyes. Within her eyes had love long ago deep, Traipsed color cartwheels in somersault skies, Peering tomorrows where marriage would sleep, Next to her soulmate seen within her eyes. Nocturnal swimmers dove caverns too deep, Well after twilight gave way midnight skies, Peering salt-water caves where love would sleep, Death buried cocoons bloomed within her eyes. 10/7/2016 Submitted for: Brief Memories

Thank you again! I actually wrote this looking at a beautiful charcoal sketch I came across last night. I probably should post it as well - it was really a stirring piece of art

Cliche', Phillip. "it's better to have loved and lost , than never to have loved at all." Well penned my friend:)
