With You

I want to watch a sunrise with you To see new light as it breaks thru the night To feel the earth breathe as shadows scatter As each new color seeps over the sky And we in breathless wonder, sigh I want to watch the moon rise with you As the fire of day sets down her flames Mother bird tucks in her babes Earth’s lullaby awakens sleeping souls Against twilight’s blackening cloak I want to swim in the sea with you To fall into water’s womb cradled in love Lifted on birthing waves, tossed upon sun-warmed sands Salt kissed skin calming trembling hands Climb a mountain, sail a sea Love’s naked beauty re-gifting possibilities Grace endowed to those who believe Easing our pain, open hearts love receives Grasp a silver moment, your hand in mine Sorrows mantle lifted, love-soft eyes collide Sunrise, sunset, mated souls now entwined
